Berserk is possibly the best manga if we look at the art style, the late creator Kentaro Miura has put out his whole soul in the panels of Berserk. Guts are the protagonist of the series and he is a lone warrior who just wanders around in the medieval war-torn world, the antagonist Griffith was Gut’s best friend and because of their different ideals, they had to part ways. This is how one of the biggest rivalries of Manga was born, Griffith is the leader of the “Band of Hawks” which is almost like a terrorist organization. Casca is also an important character in the series, she is Guts’ love interest and plays a huge role in the development of Guts’ character.
Miura has created a very dark fantasy tale that is not suited for children and that’s why it’s R-rated, there are scenes of sexual violence, murders, etc in the 1997 anime and manga. As of now because of Kentaro Miura’s death, it was uncertain that the series will be finished, but the fans keep asking this question “How does Berserk End?” the answer to this is nobody knows! But it’s safe to say that there is one person who knows how it ends, keep reading to find out who that might be.
The person who knows is Kouji Mori, he is a childhood friend of Miura and also a fellow manga artist. He is the one Miura trusted Berserk to finish, and left him with a job and that is to finish the story of Berserk as he wanted. So far Mori has released a few chapters of Berserk in 2022, the fans are delighted with its return, but also there is a certain sadness as the art won’t be the same as Miura’s.
Nobody knows the real ending of Berserk other than Kentaro Miura and Kouji Mori, so it’s safe to say that assuming an end won’t be great. There are many assumptions and Theories on the internet on how Berserk will end, but at the end of the day those are just “Fan-made Theories” they have no truth to them. Now that we know that Berserk will continue its story and at some point, we will see the original ending of Berserk, that alone should make you happy. The Original Berserk 1997 anime is also going to be released on Netflix, which has 25 episodes in total. Let’s hope that Kouji Mori does justice to his late friend’s soul and delivers to us what Miura wanted to show the world.
