Since the moment he made his appearance on screen, he has caused nothing but havoc in the series. This Demon who is crazily powerful enough to go on par with some of the Hashiras, he is known as the “Hashira Killer”. Akaza got this name because of the fact that he had killed a large number of Hashira’s over the past century, he likes to belittle them before killing them but akaza is a demon who doesn’t likes to kill women and children. He is the only demon who is allowed to do so, as he has always been loyal to Muzan. He is known as one of the top 10 most popular demon slayer characters after the Mugen Train Movie, and the third strongest demon Muzan created with his blood.
During his encounter with the Flame Hashira Rengoku, he went on to display his full power mode and asked Rengoku to do it too so they can enjoy the battle. Akaza is so impressed by the power of the Flame Hashira that he proposes him to turn into a demon, so they can battle for eternities without dying. But Rengoku denies this offer and after a long battle, Akaza shoves his hand through Rengoku’s Solar Plexus and almost gets sliced by his sword. The Battle was a close one and Akaza had to run away tearing his limbs before he could get hit by the sun, however while being abused and taunted by Tanjiro when he runs away. Akaza makes a pact that he will make Tanjiro remember who he is when they meet next time in the battlefield, akaza remains the only Kizuki demon who stays undefeated as he took his own life during the infinite castle arc.
Personality & Appearance
Akaza is a demon who believes in Social Darwinism, which means that the weakling has no right to live in this world and the strong should eliminate them by killing. He likes to fight strong warriors and savors every bit of the fight, when an opponent makes moves which takes him back, he loves that feeling of being surprised. Akaza has a habit of asking the names of his opponents who give him a good fight, like Rengoku and later Giyu, he wants to know their names as a sign of respect before killing them. He loves to make the strongest warriors an offer to turn into demon and keep getting stronger, but we know how it went rengoku.
Akaza hates his Doma and Kokushibo who are a level above him, and goes like talking to Doma and has vowed to kill Kokushibo even tough he lost a fight with him. His skin is pale white and he has fluffy pink hair, which doesn’t match his personality at all we must admit. Hie blue eyes with yellow iris have “Jogen” and “San” etched inside them, which means Upper Rank 3. Akaza has a very muscular body with tattoos all over his body since the time he was human, he also hates anyone who reminds him of the time he was a human being as he thinks it was a pitiful and wasteful life.
Abilities
Akaza might be the best hand to hand combatant skilled fighter in demon slayer, he can do godlike level of martial arts even during a sword fight with Hashira level demon slayers. He is never scared to face any demon slayer bare hands and has been easily seen stopping swords with his hands! Even when he is sliced down, he can regenerate in a blink of an eye, this was one of the reasons which made Rengoku suffer Infront of Akaza. Being the 4th Most powerful demon existing, Akaza defeated the Fire Hashira Rengoku and many other Hashiras over the course of 100 years, his fighting sprit and ability to detect the opponents next move is unmatched.
When Akaza was just 18-year-old poor kid, he learnt the Soryu Shiki style of martial arts from Keizo. After learning this technique, he was able to once defeat 67 trained adult swordsmen with his bare fists! When Muzan found out about this, he thought that akaza might be a demon and thus grew his interest in this kid. His Tactical Intellect, Demonic Strength and Indomitable Will makes him one of the top 10 most popular demon slayer characters.
Battle Techniques
As a 11-year-old Akaza had already started flooring adults into hand-to-hand combat, he was the master of martial arts and was almost unbeatable in this department. It was clear the level Akaza possessed when he defeated the whole neighboring dojo swordsmen and mangled their bodies with his bare fist, the bodies of 67 skilled swordsmen were left like lumps of flesh by a young kid’s bare fists. When he became a demon, he combined the Soryu Style he learnt from Keizo with his blood demon art and made it more dangerous, akaza has been seen breaking powerful nichirin swords with his bare hands. Akazas compass needle technique helps him predict the blind spots created by his opponents and he can read their moves in advance, it looks like a snowflake under his feet when he activated the technique and takes the stance. The snowflake represents his wife’s name “Miyoko”, whom he loved more than anything during his time as a human.
Even during the time when he faced Giyu and Tanjiro both, he almost beat them to death, because even after being decapitated he didn’t stop moving and just with his strong will regrew his head! The only reason Tanjior and Giyu were alive because Akaza reflected on his life as a demon and realized he had been living as the person he was despised off and decided to end his life himself. This shows that Akaza was undefeated till the end and no demon slayer even came close to defeating him, this fact makes Akaza the Upper Rank 3 one of the top 10 most popular demon slayer characters.

- Akaza was muzan’s favorite demon as he was always been loyal to him and complete the missions he received; he also never gave the demon king a chance to complain.
- Akaza was the only demon from the Twelve kizuki’s who never ate a woman and refused to kill any, he was given this permission by the demon king.
- Akaza being a competitive freak, once challenged Kokushibo for a fight for the rank of Upper rank one; he lost the fight terribly but was spared by kokushibo. In most of cases when a demon loses to another, he gets absorbed the demon who wins.
- Akaza was the only demon who never respected Muzan as a master, he was only loyal to him because of his duties as the upper rank.
- Akaza had had tattoos from his time when he was human on his body hen he transformed into a demon, when he kept killing people and ate them, these tattoos kept growing across his body and made him look dangerous.
