The “Painter’s Tape” Hack
To prevent “size surprise,” use painter’s tape to outline the dimensions on your wall before ordering. This helps you visualize the scale in your actual room.

Wall Placement Guidance
- The 60-75% Rule: For artwork placed above furniture (sofa/bed), aim for a width that is roughly 60–75% of the furniture’s total width.
- Eye Level: For the most natural look, the center of the artwork should sit roughly at eye height (57-60 inches from the floor).
- Gallery Walls: Mix 2–4 different sizes for a dynamic look, ensuring you maintain consistent spacing (2-3 inches) between frames.
Frames & Design Margins
Please note that frame sizes vary by vendor. We recommend verifying the inner dimensions of your frame before purchase. Some Merchfuse designs include intentional white borders or vintage “margins” as part of the artistic aesthetic.
