Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama became the most-watched anime in the world during its time, it also became the best rate series on the IMDB list! The power this anime holds is second to no one, the story is quite unique and Isayama says that the western culture of America and their movies like Jurrasic Park and video games inspired him to create Attack on Titans. The series is about a world where humans and Titans exist, but the mystery of Titans is something nobody knows about. There was no idea where they came from and also how did it all start in the first place!
But slowly into the anime, you will figure out things about titans and the walls, where the people inside the walls have no idea about the world that exists outside, for eg; things like Sea, Mountains, and Glaciers. Eren Yeager is the protagonist of the anime and he is the one who acquires the Attack titan. The people who have the powers of the Titans die an early death, but what Is the reason for their death?
The reason is the “Curse of Ymir” which is a curse from the girl known as Ymir, she was the first founding titan and she lived only 13 years. That’s the reason every shifter from then on went on to live only 13 years since the time they get the titan powers! Even if they have multiple titans inside their body like the one time when Eren’s Attack Titan ate the Hammer Titan. Then the shifter has to die in 13 years and not 26! Eren got his powers when his dad was the Attack Titan and before he would die, he wanted to pass the power on to his son, so he injected him with titan spinal fluid and turned his own son into a titan and got devoured by him.
This happened when Eren was 10 years old, so that means he will live on to 23 years of age and after that, because of the Curse of Ymir, he will pass away. Attack on Titans timeline sometimes does get confusing but it is no doubt one of the greatest anime stories ever produced, it has managed to pull the western audience more into the genre of anime.
