Boruto has the power to become one of the greatest shonen protagonists just like his father, the manga is on a good roll right now and we can see Boruto becoming stronger and paving the way toward his own greatness. He is possessed by a being just like his father had Kurama inside him, it all started when Boruto killed momoshiki which resulted in the Otsutski possessing his body. Boruto being the offspring of a Hyuga and Uzumaki already has a large amount of chakra, he had the strongest and most lethal dojitsu which was the Jogan.
Uchiha Sasuke took his friend’s son under his wing and started training him, it is a treat to watch Sasuke train Boruto and whack him around. But as the series goes on, we have seen the love Sasuke has grown for Boruto, to the point where he would die for him. It goes the same with Sarada as she is obsessed with the idea of becoming the Hokage, her idol is her parent’s best friend, the 7th Hokage Uzumaki Boruto! Boruto has become quite strong, but if you ask us “Can Boruto beat Sasuke?” then our answer is no, as of now because he isn’t that skilled in fighting in big battles.
Uchiha Sasuke was a teenager who had caused havoc in the shinobi world during his time, he wasn’t scared of taking on anyone. Don’t forget the badass move by him when he entered the Five Kage Summit to kill Danzo! He avenged his clan and his elder brother Itachi, he was an influential shinobi in the Great 4th Ninja War. We know he stabbed Sasuke’s Rinnegan and it won’t come back. But that doesn’t mean he can beat his own sensei in a battle! Remember when Sasuke entered a different world to collect intel on the Otsutski and he faced Kinshiki there, even though he was backed by Momoshiki, Sasuke didn’t back out and showed his moves to the villains. He managed to escape and run away because of his rinnegan, but now that he has lost it due to Boruto turning into Momoshiki and attacking him.
Saying that Boruto can defeat Sasuke is just disrespectful to the Uchiha Genius, we have to see where the show takes Boruto and his power levels. Having the Jogan can be an amazing plus point for the battle but when it comes to the experience he can’t outsmart Sasuke, Naruto and Boruto both know that if Momoshiki happens to take over Borutos body for good then Sasuke won’t hesitate to kill his own student. For him the protection of Leaf and its people is the first priority, being the shadow Hokage isn’t an easy task.
