Boruto is going to be one of the best anime in the future, the only thing the Naruto fans need to do is to be patient. Now the question here is “Can Boruto use Chidori?” The answer is no, but has he tried? Yes. Remember Naruto trying to use Chidori and Byakugan in Naruto anime, where he was a young boy who thought screaming the jutsu’s name would activate it. Well, Boruto isn’t that crazy, he went and asked Kakashi to teach him how to form the Chidori. We have seen Kakashi Hatake using Chidori, it helped him defeat many strong enemies. He then went on to teach it to his pupil, Uchiha Sasuke who even took it to another level and made it his trademark attack!
Now everyone was wondering about who would be the one from the next generation to learn it, but we have the information that Boruto has created something similar to Chidori as he has the lightning chakra just like his sensei. But do you know who taught him the Jutsu? No, it isn’t Sasuke. It was Hatake Kakashi, the sense of his father, who agreed to teach Boruto the lightning technique Chidori.
But he said that he can’t use Chidori on the same level anymore as he doesn’t have the Sharingan, but he created a new attack that is called “Purple Electricity” which is more powerful than Chidori. The technique can only be learned if the person knows lightning release, Boruto is comfortable and has the ability to learn lightning techniques. The fandom got this information in the Sasuke Shinden Novel, which shows us the journey of Sasuke in the hidden leaf after the war.
He trained Boruto and Sarada during his time in the leaf village, and then the fans got the information that there is a new technique called Purple Electricity that Boruto can use.
