In Part 1 of the Chainsaw Man manga, we saw some platonic relationships and some of which were of a master and slave, denji our protagonist gets rescued by Makima and then starts working under her at the safety devil hunter’s association. He falls in love with her over time, now we don’t know if he actually had feelings of love for her or if it was just infatuation! Makima on the other hand liked Denji because he had the chainsaw man devil and she wanted to have Pochita, but besides that, she had also developed a feeling for Denji.
Fans loved this relationship between Denji and Makima, there are also scenes where Makima let Denji feel her *ahem* I prefer you check out on your own. The Chainsaw Man fans were sad when she betrayed him and also killed his best friend Power for no reason at all, this drove denji to literally turn into a mindless dog who would obey whatever its master says!
Denji and Power had a platonic relationship, after the Devil Fight when Power was traumatized, you see Denji giving her a bath and feeding her food. They were never in a relationship but the fandom loved these two together, the control devil was the reason they were separated. Maybe Makima was just jealous of the fact that Denji has someone who cares and loves him, she wanted Denji to suffer and give in to her rules.
In Part 2 of Chainsaw Man manga, Tatsuki Fujimoto introduced Asa Mitaka, who is another strong female character. Denji and Asa meet where our foolish boy reveals to her that he is in fact the Chainsaw Man, he has been loving the attention and love the hero has been getting. Otakus are loving their first date interactions but we all know the War Devil inside Asa Mitaka wants to kill Chainsaw Man! There are also some steamy scenes between Denji and Reze where they kiss and she also invites him over for a good time, but Denji forgets something so that didn’t turn out well. The Chainsaw Man saga has given the best girls to Denji, but we are yet to see him fall in love with someone the way he did with the Control Devil.
