Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto is one of the best new-gen manga series, it has been selling like crazy since its debut in Japan. Mappa the famous animation studio went on to adapt the manga into an anime series, the first season was released in October 2022. The Anime was hyped from the first episode of the series and it’s still going strong, Mappa has left no stones unturned and is giving us chainsaw man in its most raw form. It really would be an injustice to Fujimoto’s masterpiece if the studio decided to edit out gore and hot scenes in the anime.
They decided to go according to anime no matter how gruesome it is, we even go to see the vomit scene in the recent episode of Chainsaw Man. The series is filled with some amazing powerful characters and we will know about them more over time. But who is this new guy called Hirofumi Yoshida? Is he a devil-human hybrid like our MC Denji or does he have a contract with any devil? Well, we have the answers for you, and all you need to do is keep scrolling and reading.
Hirofumi is someone who works as Makima’s bodyguard but he doesn’t work in the public sector of the devil hunters, he operates from a private unit and kills devils for the private devil hunters. He has a clean contract with the Octopus Devil, which allows him to use the powers and tentacles of the octopus devil and the deadly ink to kill the devil. Hirofumi is on good terms with Denji and he was hired by an organization to keep an eye on the chainsaw man and the MC Denji.
Hirofumi is a mysterious character and Fujimoto hasn’t revealed much about him in the series yet, he also goes to the same high school as Denji as the organization wants to protect denji from danger. We yet don’t know about his motivations and goals, for now, he is only a civilian who can use the powers of the Octopus Devil and works for the private sector. You see him joking around with his opponents during the fight, but still, he is a devil hunter who takes his job very seriously! We still don’t know the price Hirofumi sacrificed for the powers of the Octopus devil; we hope to see more of him in the future of Chainsaw Man.
