Kyojuro Rengoku is the Flame Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps, he is often seen enjoying his meal mindfully and protecting the ones who need it. We saw Rengoku’s full potential in the “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” and in some of the episodes in the second season, we found out that Rengoku never read the scriptures of the Flame Hashira’s breathing techniques. He learnt the techniques on his own and became this strong, now imagine if he had studied those scriptures of his family then what would have been the power level of the Flame Hashira! We have to also consider the fact that Rengoku never activated his Demon Slayer mark, which is known to Increase the User’s power level to a large extent. Despite this fact Kyojuro Rengoku the Flame Hashira, is still considered one of the Top 10 Strongest Characters in Demon Slayer
Rengoku’s Father was the former Flame Hashira and he is not fond of Rengoku because of the reason that he denied reading the scriptures to reach his full potential, his mother was the only motivation for him becoming stronger and protecting others. Rengoku, loses his mother at a very young age and is left with his little brother Sengoku, and a father who turns into an alcoholic to avoid the pain. Even Akaza was shocked that how can a mere human go to these lengths of power, he applauds Rengoku during the battle and makes an offer for him to turn into a Demon. Sadly, Rengoku meets his end by the end of the battle with Akaza, but he stirs up something inside the Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu before he dies. He was happy with the fact that he protected the young buds like them and didn’t let anyone die, he asks them to not give up hope and live their lives happily protecting people and also that he accepts Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer corps.
Personality and Appearance
Rengoku was always a very super enthusiastic person who always wanted to flash his skills, he’s flamboyance had no competition amongst the hashira. He was always driven by the value instilled in him by his mother when he was a kid, which were “The strong has to protect the weak”. Rengoku likes eating food more than anything in the world, but during his trainings he is the most focused person in the group. He has immense love for his father and little brother, after knowing that Senjuro his little brother isn’t able to use a sword, he asks him to live his life fully and happily! Even before his death he sent word of care and love for his family and asked Tanjiro to pass the message on, rengoku also loves to talk with other hashiras even though some of them ignore him.
Rengoku has bright yellow hair with red tips like flame, his owl-like eyebrows make him look unique. He is someone who is always seen smiling, this is him always being optimistic no matter what life brings. He wears a white cape with red flames on top of a brown demon slayer uniforms, his only motivation is to protect the weak and end the demons.
Abilities
Rengoku Kyojuro, is one of the most combatant skilled fighters, he’s swordsmanship is amazing and he has mastered it with his flame breathing. Once Rengoku successfully managed to kill the Flute Demon who killed 9 demon slayers, and also the lower rank two “Hairo” who said that he was the best demon slayer he has faced before dying. He trained himself to become the Flame Hashira, and he never used the Flame Breathing scriptures of his family.
People still wonder about how powerful rengoku would be with his demon slayer mark, because of the amazing potential he had. Akaza one of the most powerful demons praised Rengoku during their fight, he said that in the centuries of being a demon and killing several hashiras he had never faced a Hashira as strong as him! Battle Techniques
The Men in Rengoku family are powerful swordsman and are taught the skills since childhood, there was no doubt about his skills being a Hashira. Rengoku can perform 9 forms of Fire Breathing, where the ninth form is the strongest and is used to end demons in one shot. He used the Ninth Fire Breathing form called “Rengoku” on Akaza during their final battle, it was something which almost killed akaza and damaged him but he had the upper hand of regeneration. The technique looks like a Dragon of Flame charging at the opponent with full speed, his other fire breathing forms are his original ones he created.Rengokus smart intellect on demons and his speed kept him always ahead of others, he was one of the strongest demon slayers in the corp. Kagaya Ubayishik described him as “A Very Kind Child who wants to protect the weak”

Facts
- Kyojuro always wanted to own a pet, but he was never allowed because his father hated them.
- Kyojuro likes to eat sweet potatoes and you can see him saying “Umai” which translates to delicious. His favorite side dish is salt grilled brim!
- Kyojuro’s very distant ancestor, as stated by Kyojuro, ate a lot of tempuras causing their descendants’ and their own hair to become quite tempura shaped.
- The Rengoku family has long since had a practice called “Kankagari”. During the time when a women int their family is pregnant, every seven days she has to spend two hours gazing at a large flame torch. This is the main reason that the men in the families have flame like hair.
- Rengoku doesn’t has Tsukugo “Students” because his training is so hard that they end up running away.
