Chainsaw Man became one of the top-selling manga in 2021! It was a sensation in the Otaku culture of Japan. You could see that with every chapter in the weekly Shonen jump, the chainsaw man fans were wanting an anime adaptation as soon as possible. Soon Mappa who are the kings of animation studios announced that they will be adapting the Chainsaw Man manga into an anime series.
Denji is the protagonist of Chainsaw Man and his best friend Power who is also a best friend, she is the only one who understands denji, and vice versa for him. They have a very platonic relationship at times you would be confused, like their bathing together, and sleeping together, which may make you think that they are a couple. But no, they are just like a bunch of kids who are happy together and love each other’s company, even makima said they looked like they could be siblings.
Power was one of the best female characters in Chainsaw Man, you may have thought that she would be there for a long time. Now if you ask us Who killed Power in Chainsaw Man, then the answer is the Control Devil Makima, she goes on to kill her in the series, why did she kill power nobody knows the real reason. But let’s discuss a bit about this scenario.
But some of the fans think that Makima was keeping an eye on Denji, and she thought that Power getting close to her slave can result in him developing some kinds of feelings for her. As we know Power was just a girl who wanted to have fun and kill devils, she meant no harm and wasn’t powerful enough to be a threat to makima and her vicious plans. She could have let her live as a public safety devil hunter, but she went on to kill her in front of her best friend Denji.
Poor Power was happy being friends with Denji, and even got him a birthday cake and that’s when this Control Devil goes on and blows her torso into pieces. She gives her such a gruesome death in front of Denji, this leaves him traumatized. We feel as if the only reason Makima killed Power was that she felt like a threat to her plan to obtain the Chainsaw Man Devil, maybe she thought about the future and tried to end it before it was too late. But now it doesn’t matter as our girl Power has drifted into hell, we will hope that she returns to the series in the future.
