Uzumaki Naruto has been a part of every Otaku’s life, doesn’t matter if they watch Naruto or not. The influence this story had on young people all over the world was immense, the never give up attitude of our protagonist was motivating for others. Naruto was created by Masashi Kishimoto and later became an anime that went on to become super huge and grabbed the anime community’s love. So, fandom is curious about this one question, will boruto be stronger than Naruto? Well, it is possible and it would be understandable as it is the new generation. But even if we take the aspect of the new generation its consideration, it can be contradicted as Madara and Hashirama were way more powerful than Sasuke and Naruto in Shippuden.
Boruto was announced right after the end of Naruto Shippuden, the fans were delighted that the journey would continue and hoped to see the original Naruto cast in the series. But later they were not happy about how some of the leads like Sasuke were nerfed, he was left to nothing but a transportation device who runs out of chakra during important battles. Imagine going from a badass Uchiha to this, the whole fandom hated the new series as it went on and the fights and the fillers made it more annoying to watch.
At Boruto’s age, his father was battling Jinchurikis like Gaara, fighting Orochimaru and other evil villains. He came out of death’s mouth so many times during his youth, as a Jinchuriki himself he was the target of the Akatsuki. Naruto never had a family and a comfortable life like his son, but he never wavered off his dream of becoming the Hokage! He fought so many strong people and even gods during his time, whereas we see Boruto being disrespectful to his father and ignoring his legacy.
Boruto is a crossbreed of Uzumaki and Hyuga, he developed the Jogan dojistu because of having their blood. He has the potential to become the strongest shinobi alive, as he was also trained by Uchiha Sasuke who is possibly the second strongest after his father. We saw what possibly looks like Sasuke’s headband and cloak, also the katana he holds during the first scene of the time-skip. We still have no idea about how powerful Boruto is during that time and age, and what has happened to Naruto and Sasuke which means a lot, as he can be motivating on avenging his Sensei!
We have come to the conclusion that if a young Naruto and Boruto battled each other, there’s no way that Boruto could beat Naruto. At the end of the day, the Father stays a father and won’t be beaten by his own son, and Uzumaki Naruto has battle memories from shinobis to gods which Boruto lacks, which means Boruto won’t be able to become stronger than Naruto. Not right now, maybe we will see what new transformations we see of him in the future.
