Hantengu is an Upper Moon 4 who works under the reign of the Demon King Muza, you will see him appear in the next season of Demon Slayer. In the Swordsmith Village Arc, you will see him in action and he is one of the most powerful and smart demons in the twelve Kizuki. Muzan was very intrigued by Hentengu and locked him inside a cell after turning him into a demon, he passed down his demon blood inside his body and made him a powerful being.
Muzan ordered Hantengu to destroy the Swordsmith village, so he had Gyokko with him during this arc. He has a weird ability in his demon form, where he can transform into 6 different demons and totally transform himself. These are his 6 different personas;
1.Hantengu
Hantengu in this form is a coward who is always seen as scared and gets scared of people easily. He is someone who starts weeping if someone is rude to him and shows signs of being paranoid, if he feels he can’t beat his opponent he would prefer running away from the fight.
He lives in his own delusional world and feels as if he should be forgiven for the killings he has done, he counts himself as someone who is an innocent person. He is an evil demon who eats his opponent after killing them, but he wants to the world to think he is innocent.
- Sekido
Sekido can be said as the dominant personality of all of his 6 forms, he turns into a very angry being who can even lash out at his fellow demons. In his Sekido form, he is always annoyed with his opponent and wants to kill them quickly, he doesn’t show any sympathy for the person in front of him; all he wants is to kill! So, the Sekido form is something that can’t be messed with.
- Karaku
As Karaku, Hantengu acts very calm and collected, you see him battling his opponents in total zen mode. When he fought the demon slayers like, Tanjiro and Genya, you see him constantly praising their abilities and firing them up. He takes the battle as a game and not something where he should end the fight quickly and kill the opponent.
He just enjoys the moments during a fight, even when he was shot by Genya’s Gun. That made him happy and praised Genya for his technique and congratulated him for hurting his body.
- Aiztesu
Aizetsu is a form where you see him in a very depressed mode, he is always negative about everything and hates whatever he comes across. But during the fights he is focused and composed, you see him being smart when he is using his strategies against his opponents during the battle.
- Urogi
Urogi is the happiest personality of Hantengu, you see him enjoying the fights and not caring about the outcome. All he wants is to be happy and be entertained by his opponents, the other upper moons hate this side of him which is careless. But the fact is that Hantengu’s Urogi form has been seen as effective against the demon slayers, as he lightens up the mood and kills them. Urogi is a lot similar to Karaku, but here he is on his naughty behaviour.
- Zohakuten
Zohakuten is a form of Hantengu where he likes to instigate fights by calling dirty names to his opponents, he likes to make them angry before they fight. This form is full of hatred and wants vengeance, he thinks the demon slayers are very disrespectful to him and his personas and that makes him want to kill them. Zohakuten is the smartest persona of Hantengu, and he is the only one Muzan Likes. His Sixth form is too loyal to the demon kind and only does what he orders him to do.
He has plenty of abilities in his arsenal, his blood demon art is very unique. He is one of the fastest demons in his Sekido form and can’t outsmart anyone in his zohakuten form. He was also able to block bullets from Genya’s gun, in his flesh manipulation technique you see him turning into anything which confuses the demon slayers.
The Upper Moon 4 has crazy stamina and strength, during the fight you see him ripping off Nezuko’s both arms with his bare hands. Hantengu can also transform wings for himself and fly at lightning speed toward his opponent, basically, he has one of the most powerful techniques in his personas.
He was a hard demon to kill and caused a lot of problems for the Hashiras, you see him being killed by our protagonist Kamado Tanjiro. He went on to kill all his six clones and sliced off his head in a single move, Tanjiro was someone who scared the Upper Moon 4 and made him run away but he was still killed by the hands of the demon slayer. He was one exciting demon out of the Twelve Kizuki, and to kill him was a huge task but our hero managed to do it.
