Muzan, also known as the Demon King in the series, he is the one who created all the Twelve Kizukis and other strong demons. Muzan wanted to take over the humans by creating demons so powerful that even the Demon Slayers wouldn’t be able to kill them, but muzan alone is also a big threat to the demon slayer corps. His Immortality, Eternal Youth, Biokenesis and that Michael Jackson look made him one of the Top 10 Strongest Characters in Demon Slayer. Even the strongest Hashira’s can’t go one to one with Muzan, they had to fight him together during the final battle but as soon as he transformed into his real form it was over. Muzan has 7 hearts and 5 Brains inside his body, which makes him a very unique being on the planet. Muzan had fought demon slayers for his whole existence, but he was also a coward who was scared of them since he fought Yoriichi Tsugikune!
Muzan had several tentacle-like arms which had sharp blades, when he started slashing the demon slayers were getting chopped into chunks of pieces. He was into a hiding because he wanted to kill every human related to Yourichi the strongest Hashira ever! Muzan’s unimaginable ability can be seen during the final death battle in the series, we can’t wait for it to be animated and we know this battle will break the internet!
Personality & Appearance
Muzan is someone who is dangerously ruthless, emotionless, rude and deceptive person, who doesn’t care about human being or any of his subordinates. The only thing muzan cares about is that he wants to become the demon who can live in the sun and for that he has to defeat the demon slayers and wipe out their existence. He always talks in a same tone and hardly shows any emotions on his face, but if he is pleased by demon’s work, he will praise them but if he’s upset then he makes sure to punish them badly. Muzan has a very big ego because of the stature of his power and he won’t look away from any disrespect or talk back from any of his demons, he doesn’t like people who don’t complete the work and waste his time.
He thinks of himself as a demon king and believes the other demons are there just to serve him, their existence means nothing to him and they should always follow his orders. Muzan once killed two drunk men just because they were rude to him and also killed the lady who was with them, he is a symbol of Narcissism, pettiness and his hunger for being a perfect being is insane. Despite all this inflated ego, Muzan is a coward facing strong demon slayers since he faced Yoriichi the strongest Demon Slayer ever.
Muzan has pale vampire like skin, he has curly black hair and almond shaped eyes with cat like red iris. He has many forms during the series, you also see him in a Michael Jackson inspired look, a Lady and a kid. During the final battle you see him in the most dangerous form, where he has mouths with sharp fangs all over his body and has whip blades attached to his limbs.
Abilities
Muzan is the creator of all demons and stands at the pinaccle of their power, he killed 100’s of demon slayers during the final fight in few seconds. Later when he removed out his back whips he managed to kill more and push behind hashiras like obanai, matsuri and gyomei. He was so powerful that they didn’t even have time to think about their moves, the speed and accuracy of Kibutsuji Muzan’s attacks were unstoppable. Demon slayers kept being killed to stop muzan and for the hashira’s so they could come up with a plan to defeat the demon king.
He has the capability to transform humans into demons by passing on his demonic blood to their body, he can control their bodies after this process and kill them however he wishes. He also managed to put in a curse in his demons where if they speak his name, three massive hands would destroy their bodies and kill them. His demonic speed, reflexes and ability to telepathically read the demons minds makes him one of the Top 10 Strongest Characters in Demon Slayer.
Battle Techniques
Even though he is a coward who has been running away from strong demon slayers, he has fought many demon slayers over his existence of 1000 years. Muzan’s blood demon art makes him transform his body into anything he wants it to be, its so powerful that he can shapeshift and fool people by totally hiding the fact that he is a demon. During the final fight he turned himself into a baby shaped human cocoon to protect himself from the sunlight and dissolve the poison. His Bio kinesis abilities give him the power to change and shift his organs, like his 7 hearts and 5 brains wherever he wants inside his body.
Kibutsuji Muzan’s whip technique where he pulls out red bladed whips covered with his demon blood, if they hit a target, they destroy the human cells. He can pull them up out form his thighs, back and his hands, this alone kept him safe from all the demon slayers attacking him with full power. Doing things like creating a whip tornado like attack and also piercing the ground and attacking the opponent form below to kill, Muzan’s demonic powers gave the demon slayers a hard time.

Facts
- Muzan was both born and became a full demon in the early years of 900’s during the Heian period
- He ranked 11th in the Demon Slayer Popularity poll with 285 Votes, but later he started climbing the charts when he was more seen in the manga
- The Ubayashiki are descendants of Muzan’s original blood family, because their family gave birth to an original demon like Muzan, they were cursed with a life ending disease which destroyed their genetics. It kills them before they reach the age of 30, but after Muzan’s death the curse was lifted from the family and Kiriya Ubayashiki son to Kagaya lived on to be an old man.
