Long-billed Curlew Audubon Birds of America Coastal Art Print

The elongated, downward-curving beak of this shorebird can reach lengths of over eight inches, a specialized tool designed for probing deep into coastal mud for prey. This print captures the intricate plumage and elegant profiles of two birds amidst tall marsh grasses.

About John James Audubon

Audubon showed birds in dramatic, lifelike poses among the plants of their habitat. Audubon plates are in the public domain and remain among the most loved natural history art. Bird prints add colour and life to studies, hallways and reading corners. Natural history illustration combined careful observation with artistry long before photography.
