In the height of Hollywood’s Golden Age, promotional art relied on rich, hand-painted illustrations to convey the emotional weight of a cinematic masterpiece. This print captures the intense drama of the 1949 film, showcasing Olivia de Havilland and Montgomery Clift in a central, shadowy embrace. The composition uses a contrast between warm yellow lantern light on the grand staircase and the cold, dark blues of the evening.
