Jacques Tati’s iconic postman famously dreamed of American efficiency, a concept vividly realized in this print by Laurent Durieux. The composition depicts Francois riding a streamlined, jet-black motorbike across a high-rise bridge, surrounded by teardrop-shaped automobiles.

About Laurent Durieux

Laurent Durieux is a Belgian illustrator known for alternative movie posters with a retro-futuristic, mid-century look. Durieux’s posters often hide clever visual details that reward a closer look. Screen-print style posters use a few flat colours and clever symbolism instead of star photos. Alternative movie posters reinterpret films through an artist’s eye, often as limited-edition screen prints.
