In the rich tradition of 1980s fantasy illustration, this composition brings together the central characters of a beloved Jim Henson classic. Jareth towers over the scene with his crystal orb, while Sarah stands poised in her ballroom gown amidst the winding paths of the maze.

About fantasy posters

Fantasy posters open doors to other worlds with painted landscapes and heroic figures. Painters such as Drew Struzan and John Alvin created many of the decade’s most famous posters. The original dates from 1986. 1980s posters are known for painted adventure, neon sci-fi and video-store nostalgia.

Styling this fantasy movie poster

Gold tones give this fantasy movie poster a moody character that holds a room. Choose 24×36″ to make “Labyrinth” the focal point above a console, or 11×14″ to 16×20″ for a bedside or hallway wall. The gold palette of “Labyrinth” glows beside warm wood, brass and deep green or navy walls; finish it with a simple black or oak frame. Build a gallery wall around “Labyrinth”: add two or three smaller prints that echo its gold and keep the gaps to 2–3 inches.
