Product description
Exactly five hundred sheets of paper were painstakingly typed with a single repetitive phrase to create the descent into madness seen on screen. This print uses a bold silhouette of Jack Torrance gripping his axe to frame the most haunting imagery from Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece. Inside the figure, the snow-covered Overlook Hotel sits under a cold blue night sky, while Danny pedals his tricycle through the hedge maze pattern toward the crimson tide of the elevator scene.
Moving from the isolated grandeur of the Colorado mountains to the claustrophobic corridors of the haunted hotel, the composition captures a chilling psychological breakdown. It evokes a sense of creeping dread, using high-contrast blues, reds, and blacks against a clean white background to emphasize the duality of the story. Every element, from the dripping axe to the typed manuscript text, serves as a visual anchor for one of the most studied films in cinema history.
It fits the same shelf as our stanley kubrick movie posters, and sits comfortably next to the shining movie posters.
