A crisp mountain breeze seems to carry the faint echo of melody across this print. The composition captures Maria in her iconic blue and brown pinafore, arms outstretched in a gesture of pure liberation. Above her, towering cumulus clouds billow into a deep sapphire sky, while the foreground is a lush tapestry of yellow and purple wildflowers.

About comedy posters

Many classic comedy posters were painted caricatures that exaggerated their stars’ expressions. Movie poster art has a history of its own, from painted studio campaigns to modern alternative designs. Comedy posters use bright colour, big personalities and playful type to promise a good time.

Styling this comedy movie poster

With its blue, yellow and purple palette and vibrant atmosphere, this comedy movie poster brings instant personality to a wall. Its tall format suits narrow walls, hallways and the space beside a doorway in a home cinema, with 18×24″ a versatile middle size. Finish this comedy movie poster with a simple black or oak frame: its blue, yellow and purple palette pairs naturally with white walls, navy or denim textiles and pale oak.
