About Georgia O’Keeffe

Georgia O’Keeffe (1887–1986) is often called the mother of American modernism. O’Keeffe became famous for enlarged flowers painted so close that they become almost abstract. From the late 1940s O’Keeffe lived in New Mexico, where desert hills, bones and wide skies filled her paintings.
